String

String is used for stringing pearls together and to tat. I use 100% silk for pearls. This string is ideal and very supple and durable for knotting. For stronger string and larger beads I use a string that is strong and less likely to fray-it’s also made in the USA!! I also use Bead nylon cord card with needle already attached for use when using end caps or french wire. Tatting uses a 100% mercerized cotton string with a variety of colors and sizes. The sizes range from #80 very thin and delicate to #3 which is thicker and perhaps a bit less delicate-but you can see the work a lot easier.
